This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including registered members and visitors.

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your information as described herein. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you create an account, use our services, or communicate with us, including:

• Profile photo and avatar image

• Airline employer, job position, and base city

• Flight crew identification or employee information (if provided)

• Layover dates, cities, and travel schedules

• Posts, photos, videos, and captions you share on the Platform

• Messages and communications sent through the Platform

• Marketplace listings, purchase history, and transaction details

• Reviews, ratings, and feedback submitted

• Support requests and correspondence with CrewLink World

• Any other information you choose to include in your profile or posts

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)

• IP address and approximate geographic location derived from IP address

• Browser type and version

• App version and crash reports

• Log data including access times, pages viewed, and features used

• Referring URLs and exit pages

• Session duration and interaction patterns

• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

1.3 Location Information

With your explicit permission, we may collect precise GPS location data to enable location-based features such as city check-ins, crew discovery, and layover matching. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. We may also derive approximate location from your IP address for security and analytics purposes.

1.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services, including:

• Authentication providers if you choose to sign in using a third-party service

• Payment processors for marketplace transactions (we do not store full payment card details)

• Analytics providers that help us understand Platform usage

• Other users who tag you, mention you, or share content involving you

1.5 Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library

The Platform may request access to your device's camera, microphone, and photo library solely to enable you to create and share content. We do not access these features without your explicit permission, and you may revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

2.1 To Provide and Operate the Platform

• Create and manage your user account

• Enable social networking features including posts, messaging, and crew discovery

• Process marketplace transactions and facilitate communications between buyers and sellers

• Display your profile and content to other users in accordance with your privacy settings

• Send layover notifications and crew connection suggestions

• Enable city check-ins and location-based features

2.2 To Improve and Develop the Platform

• Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience

• Conduct research and development for new features

• Monitor and fix technical issues and bugs

• Perform internal analytics and reporting

2.3 To Communicate With You

• Send account-related notifications including security alerts and updates

• Respond to your support requests and inquiries

• Send push notifications about messages, likes, comments, and crew activity (if enabled)

• Inform you of changes to our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy

2.4 To Ensure Safety and Security

• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity

• Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines

• Verify user identities and prevent impersonation

2.5 Legal Compliance

We may use your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests, including responding to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes.

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Other Users

Certain information on your profile is visible to other users of the Platform by default, including your name, profile photo, airline, position, base city, and public posts. You can adjust your privacy settings to control what information is visible to other users. Private messages are only visible to the intended recipient(s).

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (including Supabase for database services)

• Push notification services

• Analytics providers

• Payment processors for marketplace transactions

• Customer support tools

All service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by CrewLink World and to maintain appropriate security measures.

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (b) respond to lawful requests from public authorities including law enforcement; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of CrewLink World, our users, or the public; or (d) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

3.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Platform of any such change in ownership and your choices regarding your information.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:

• Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations

• Posts, messages, and user-generated content may be retained even after account deletion in certain circumstances, such as when content has been shared with others or is subject to a legal hold

• Transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with financial and tax regulations

• Log data and analytics information may be retained for up to two (2) years

5. DATA SECURITY

6.1 Account Information

You may review and update your account information at any time through the Profile settings section of the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your information accurate and current.

6.2 Privacy Settings

The Platform provides privacy controls that allow you to manage who can see your profile, posts, layover information, and other content. You can adjust these settings at any time in your account settings.

6.3 Push Notifications

You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings or the notification preferences section within the Platform.

6.4 Location Data

You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings. Disabling location access may limit certain features of the Platform.

6.5 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your CrewLink World account at any time by accessing the account deletion option in the Platform settings or by contacting us at crewlinkworldllc@gmail.com. Please note that some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6.6 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

THE PLATFORM IS NOT DIRECTED TO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18. WE DO NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN UNDER 18.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may not use the Platform. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. CrewLink World is based in the United States and your information is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.

11. USER-GENERATED CONTENT AND PUBLIC INFORMATION

Please be aware that any information you include in your public profile, posts, check-ins, or other public areas of the Platform may be viewed by other users and the general public. You should carefully consider what personal information you share publicly on the Platform. CrewLink World is not responsible for the use of publicly available information by other users or third parties.

If you post content that includes personal information about other individuals, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that information and that doing so complies with applicable privacy laws.

12. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

With your consent, we may send you push notifications about activity on the Platform, including new messages, likes, comments, and crew connections. You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings or the notification preferences within the Platform. We may also send you transactional emails related to your account, which are necessary for the operation of the service and cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.

13. MARKETPLACE AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

If you use the CrewLink World marketplace, we collect transaction information necessary to facilitate the sale and purchase of items. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors, and we do not store complete payment card information on our servers. Transaction records, including buyer and seller information, item descriptions, and transaction amounts, are retained for legal and tax compliance purposes. By participating in the marketplace, you consent to the sharing of necessary transaction information with the other party to the transaction.

14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and notify you through the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
